The mother and bubba folk pendants

Miimi is mother, Buwaarr is baby in Gumbaynggirr. This language is that of the indigenous of this region. The space in which I do my work, is the original local birthing area and also the place my daughter was born.

Created with inspiration of the mother growing her bubba within, this design was dreamt up when I was pregnant with my daughter Fae.

This name is to honour my and my daughters Wiradjuri indigenous roots, and the gumbaynggirr land we live on.

These pieces have been hand formed, then moulded and cast into solid recycled metal. Offered in both non-tarnish 925 Sterling Silver or Brass.
